These are some common questions that people have before joining the Cumberland County Young Republican Organization.
What are the age requirements to be considered a "Young Republican?"
The Cumberland County Young Republican Organization welcomes people of all ages to attend our events. To become a voting member, one must pay the annual organization dues and be between the ages of 18-40, as per the New Jersey Young Republican state charter. Guests outside of this age range are welcome and encouraged to join as honorary members.
When are your regular meetings held?
Our meetings are held every second Tuesday at 6:30pm. Please check our events page for exact location details.
Do I have to be a Republican to become involved with the group?
Our group is open to all members of the public who wish to network and discuss important issues with an open mind. We attract people of many political persuasions to our events, especially conservatives, libertarians, former Democrats, and independents. Attendees will be encouraged but not required to engage with the county, state, and national parties whenever possible.
Do you have an official platform?
Our group ultimately aspires to cultivate the next generation of Republican leadership within Cumberland County. While we do not have an official platform, we fully support the ideals of the Republican Party. Our members and guests may not always agree with every policy or with every candidate/official on all issues, but we seek to build unity between activists, candidates, elected officials, party officials, the business community, and various interest groups in alignment with the Republican Party.
